Sportiness in focus - the exterior

The Audi A4 Avant shows its dynamic character from every angle. An impressive front aspect is achieved by the broad single-frame grill and the emphatically wide air intakes, at the rear there is the remote diffuser surface with integrated trapezoidal tailpipes and a continuous chrome strip that connects the LED lights together. A special feature is our modular line concept. This allows you greater flexibility in the configuration - so you can combine different design packages for inside and outside. For exterior use we offer you the S line package for a particularly sporty appearance. This includes sports suspension, an S-specific radiator grille and an S-specific diffuser. For an even sportier appearance choose the "edition one" of the Audi A4 Avant, which is shown in the photos. In the side view are the Audi rings on the fenders, 19-inch wheels and red painted brake calipers. The roof spoiler with RS design ensures a sporty finish.

Generously sized, high quality, individual

In the interior of the Audi A4 Avant, you will experience a generous amount of space and an arrangement of the elements which is designed to maximise brightness and space. For example, the continuous air-jet band emphasises the width of the vehicle, while a chrome application strip above it creates a high-quality accent. Buckle in in optional S sports seats with S emblem and diamond quilted seats that provide a secure fit and numerous electrical adjustments. In the "edition one" of the Audi A4 Avant, you can choose between the design selection and the S line interior package. Add a touch of accent to the interior in a striking Audi exclusive colour, such as the centre console, contrasting stitching on the seats and steering wheel.

Variable and functional

A sporty design and a sophisticated concept of space – that's what the Audi A4 Avant offers. Its practical technologies for loading and unloading underline its suitability for everyday use; its cargo capacity is 495 litres, and with the backrests folded (ratio 40:20:40), this extends to 1,495 litres. The standard equipment includes, for example, the electric luggage compartment cover and the backrest remote release. The optional attachment set offers even more possibilities: two telescopic poles are mounted in the trunk rail system and can additionally secure your luggage. If you don't have a hand free when loading, you can easily open the trunk with the optional sensor-controlled luggage compartment unlocking by foot. With the optional comfort key, you can lock and unlock the entire vehicle using sensors in the door handles. The key only has to be carried with you.

Trend-setting technologies

Thanks to an intuitive operating concept via touch function and natural-language interaction, the Audi A4 Avant offers you great ease of use. Decide on infotainment for optional technologies such as the digital instrument cluster Audi virtual cockpit plus. Its 12.3-inch display directly in front of you displays important functions clearly and in full HD resolution, including speed and RPM. Optional features such as the Audi connect key 1 and the Audi phone box1 integrate your smartphone into the vehicle.

Powerful engines

We offer different engine options¹ for the Audi A4 Avant. You can get the petrol-powered 2.0 TFSI with 110 kW (150 hp), 140 kW (190 hp) or 180 kW (245 hp). The latter variant features the ultra-technology that activates quattro all-wheel drive in just a few milliseconds when the driving situation demands it, ensuring optimum traction and driving dynamics. The diesel-powered 2.0 TDI produces 140 kW (190 hp), the larger 3.0 TDI 170 kW (231 hp). Some of these engine variants feature a 12 volt mild hybrid system with a belt-starter generator and a Li-ion battery. This technology allows, for example, a shutdown of the engine while driving - the so-called sailing mode. This will reduce consumption.

Background assistance

Benefit from the help of driver assistance systems⁵ when driving in your Audi A4 Avant. Choose between optional preconfigured packages with different emphases, such as the Tour assistance package. It combines systems for overland and long-distance travel, for example the traffic jam assistant. This supports you in the control range up to 65 km/h in the steering work and thus ensures the most comfortable and natural driving experience possible. The system recognises lane markings, peripheral buildings, vehicles in secondary lanes as well as several preceding vehicles. The turning assistant, also part of the tour assistance package, recognises vehicles oncoming from the left and can counteract critical braking situations.

Functional and striking - the light

Another visual feature of the Audi A4 Avant is its progressive lighting design. The standard LED headlights with their specific signature provide unmistakable recognition value. The LED technology ensures daylight-quality illumination immediately after switching on. Optionally, you can opt for the Matrix LED headlights with dynamic lighting and dynamic turn signals. Matrix LED technology combines a camera system with LED light sources and precise optics. This allows the system to selectively shield oncoming vehicles while leaving other areas of the road brightly lit. When you unlock or lock the vehicle, the headlights give an impressive light show. At the rear, the LED lights also optionally have this impressive light show and the dynamic turn signal.

Custom-fit solutions

Optional equipment from Audi Genuine Accessories makes your everyday life in the Audi A4 Avant even easier. For example, a roof box offers you more storage space. You have the choice of different colours and sizes. The boxes are lockable and can be opened from both sides for easy loading and unloading. The divider divides the passenger compartment between the backrest and headliner from the trunk area and thus offers protection against loose luggage. It's very easy to assemble. The entry-point LED ensures an individual and sporty look: when opening the side doors, the Audi logo is projected onto the ground.

The specified fuel consumption and emission data have been determind according to the measurement procedures prescribed by law. Since 1st September 2017, certain new vehicles are already being type-approved according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), a more realistic test procedure for measuring fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Starting on September 1st 2018, the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) will be replaced by the WLTP in stages. Owing to the more realistic test conditions, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions measured according to the WLTP will, in many cases, be higher than those measured according to the NEDC. They are intended exclusively as a means of comparison between different vehicle types. Additional equipment and accessories (e.g. add-on parts, different tyre formats, etc.) may change the relevant vehicle parameters, such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, and, in conjunction with weather and traffic conditions and individual driving style, may affect fuel consumption, electrical power consumption, CO2 emissions and the performance figures for the vehicle.
