Check emails, text messages, and tweets: Audi connect turns your Audi into a mobile communications centre. Thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi hotspot, up to eight mobile devices can go online at a time. Whether it's your tablet, laptop, or games console: you and your passengers will feel right at home. The new Audi smartphone interface brings Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on board, too, allowing your smartphone and features such as music, voice, or select third-party apps like Spotify to be perfectly integrated.

Audi smartphone interface

The Audi smartphone interface connects your smartphone to your Audi and shows smartphone content via USB directly on the MMI display. Navigation, telephone, music, and selected third-party apps can be conveniently accessed-via the MMI controller and via voice control.

Audi MMI connect

Access to smartphone voice control

For example, access Siri on your Apple iPhone when the device is connected to your Audi via Bluetooth. The vehicle's microphones and speakers provide optimal speech recognition and sound output while driving. Requires MMI navigation plus (incl. voice control system), a Bluetooth interface, and the multifunction steering wheel.

Wi-Fi Hotspot

Audi connect also turns your Audi into a Wi-Fi hotspot so that you can check your personal or business email, surf the internet, Skype, or chat. Thanks to high transfer speeds (depending on network availability), the data will display on your tablet, smartphone, or laptop in a flash. And your passengers can enjoy internet connectivity even while you're driving to your destination.

Email

Mobile office: convenient on-the-go workplace. With Audi connect's email service, you can have your emails read out loud to you, including the sender, subject line, time stamp, signature lines, and disclaimers.

Messages

This feature allows your text messages to be transmitted and read in your Audi MMI. Use the dictation function to compose and send text messages conveniently and safely even while driving and without ever having to pick up your mobile.

Online media streaming

Always have your choice of music channel and the right song on hand: just connect your smartphone to the MMI navigation plus with MMI touch via Wi-Fi and listen to personal radio services (AUPEO!®), worldwide radio stations (Audi music stream), and music streaming services (Napster), or select music from your smartphone. Music streaming is also possible via Bluetooth.

Audi connect SIM

The new Audi connect SIM, a SIM card built into your vehicle, turns your Audi into a mobile communication hub. The SIM gives you unlimited data volume and the Audi connect services can reach up to 100 MBit/s speeds on the fast 4G LTE network. As needed, the Audi connect SIM will also connect automatically to local mobile networks as you cross borders in Europe, making high roaming charges a thing of the past. Data packages for use of the Wi-Fi Hotspot can be purchased separately from the integrated Audi connect services.

The specified fuel consumption and emission data have been determind according to the measurement procedures prescribed by law. Since 1st September 2017, certain new vehicles are already being type-approved according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), a more realistic test procedure for measuring fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Starting on September 1st 2018, the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) will be replaced by the WLTP in stages. Owing to the more realistic test conditions, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions measured according to the WLTP will, in many cases, be higher than those measured according to the NEDC. Therefore, the usage of CO2 emission values measured according to WLTP for vehicle taxation from 1st September 2018 on can cause changes in this regard as well. We are currently still required by law to state the NEDC figures. In the case of new vehicles which have been type-approved according to the WLTP, the NEDC figures are derived from the WLTP data. It is possible to specify the WLTP figures voluntarily in addition until such times as this is required by law. In cases where the NEDC figures are specified as value ranges, these do not refer to a particular individual vehicle and do not constitute part of the sales offering. They are intended exclusively as a means of comparison between different vehicle types. Additional equipment and accessories (e.g. add-on parts, different tyre formats, etc.) may change the relevant vehicle parameters, such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, and, in conjunction with weather and traffic conditions and individual driving style, may affect fuel consumption, electrical power consumption, CO2 emissions and the performance figures for the vehicle.
